Steven J. Spear, Faculty in the MIT Sloan Leading Organizations for High-Velocity Performance Program, wins AME’s Philip Crosby Medal

Steven J. Spear, DBA, MS, MS, faculty in the MIT Sloan Leading Organizations for High-Velocity Performance program, is a recipient of AME’s Philip Crosby Medal. The award highlights his global influence in enabling organizations to solve complex problems faster, improve efficiency, and achieve sustainable performance gains. As part of the program, Spear teaches modules on high-performance systems to global executives by leveraging decades of industry experience.  

The Philip Crosby Medal, awarded by the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), is a prestigious recognition of outstanding contributions to operational excellence and process improvement. Spear received this honor for his groundbreaking work designing high-impact systems for Alcoa, DTE, the US Navy, the US Army’s Rapid Equipping Force, and major healthcare institutions. 

At MIT Sloan, as a senior lecturer, through his work as a senior fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and as the founder of See to Solve, Spear brings expertise and experience to the classroom.
